Note on Early Church Fathers: Sadly many of the Early Church Fathers after 135 AD are anti-semetic and Replacement Theology oriented (The Church has replaced Israel and all the Promises to Israel are now given to the Chudch). It is understandable since the Religious leaders of Judaism rejected Jesus as the Messiah, The Jewish people were killing each other as the Zealots and Other groups were trying to rise up against Rome and as Rome salughtered Jewish in 70 AD through 135 AD. Jewish Believers in Jesus could not side with the other Jewish Sects and many groups died out leaving the Pharisees as the main group to follow. With the 2nd exile Church Fathers felt it was a punishment from God for Rejecting Jesus and Later the 'Blood Liable' narrative arrose which is ridiculous considering the limited number of people who could fit in court yard before Pilate. Anyway, I am cautious to certain church Father's writings. The Foundation of Christianity is 1st Century Judaism and If Jesus is the Promised Jewish Messiah, christians need to see Him that way. He is the Messiah 'to the Jew First' (Romans 1) and then it is Expanded to the other Nations.

In Regards to The Jesus Bible (19:05): when it is said 'Jesus is the Fullfillment of the Whole OT,' I think most of the Christian World misunderstands the Concept in Matt 5 verse 17 and confuses it with Paul's writings in Colossians 2:13-14. Matt 5 is about Jesus "Making-Full" the Instructions of Moses and the Prophets. Rabbi Jesus is talking to Jews on how to Live out God's Commands in a Deeper Way (at the Beginning pd his Ministry & No Mention of His Death for sins). Colossians is talking to Gentiles and about how because of Jesus's Death He has made a Way that Gentiles can have 'Circumcision of the Heart' ( See Deut. 10:12-17) Spiritually with the Holy Spirit. The Replacement Theology mindset says Jesus Fullfilled the Law as if the Law was a Debt that couldn't be paid and therefore the debt has now been paid so the Laws of the OT are irrelevant. Of course this is not so Since any Christian would say the 10 Commandments are still Valid, yet my counter is They are Still The Law! Jesus makes Full God's Commandments and Doesn't do away with them. Hi Matt. Idea of poor catachesis is a good one. Also , they should have added a question re church attendance. Speaking from a Catholic perspective, there are many that claim affiliation but rarely darken the door of a church. It is notable that only 25% of Catholics realize that the Eucharist is the body blood soul and divinity of Jesus. The lack of catachesis and the phenomena of cultural Christianity combine to give you these numbers. We definitely need to proclaim the kerygma

The thing that sttracted me to Unitarianism is that they were a people who seemed to put Matt 5 into practice in their lives. Some of the mainline Chistians i've known were some of the meanest cusses I've ever met.

To Dr. Nichols's comment on the often insular nature of Orthodox congregations in the U.S., pleas keep in mind that many of these immigrants came over after having faced hostility or outright persecution. Many are happy just to be able to worship peacefully. They definitely lack an evangelist perspective. This does not excuse a lack of friendliness, but the context might help explain their behavior. Personally, as a cradle Orthodox, I'm happy to say that the recent surge into Orthodoxy, especially by younger people seeking tradition, is changing our parishes for the better.

Having studied Technical Psychology and having developed several UIs for different media, I agree that the formulation of the question was not good. Also the question reminds me a little of the question: "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" in that, from an emotional angle it feels like you are saying that Jesus was not a great teacher if you answer "false" to the statement.
